Ulutham Kali or Urad Dal Kali is a traditional, highly healthy South Indian (Tamilnadu), sweet pudding snack. It is traditionally consumed to strengthen bones and joints.

INGREDIENTS:

Black gram flour, Palm jaggery (karupatti), Gingelly oil (sesame oil) and crushed cardamom.

Preparation Method:
o Slowly add the grounded Black gram flour into the boiling jaggery water while continuously stirring to avoid lumps.
o Reduce the heat to low. Keep stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
o Drizzle gingelly oil slowly from the sides of the pan and add crushed cardamom. Continue cooking until the mixture turns into a glossy, thick, halwa-like consistency and stops sticking to the sides of the pan.
